THE DISPATCHES
2/18/2018
I ended the week with wonderful conversation over dinner and drinks with an old friend. I had not seen him in over two decades. What an interesting meeting. How much we have all grown.
Growth is an interesting thing, it seems to present new opportunities and in exchange requires a variety of sacrifices, as we move up in the video game of life. Since the beginning of 2018, I've had more meetings with people from my past than in the last two years, so it is interesting to observe how much change we've encountered since seeing each other last.
The last couple of years have been particularly liberating, and only very recently do I feel a kind of readiness about my own life as a creative person. I’m really proud and thankful that I’m able to do what I do every day. As I take on a more transparent “Learner” role here, and pursue the “slow hunch” of figuring out what SpecialOrbits will eventually stand for, I'm starting to produce things that work in tandem with some of these these new conclusions. In the next few weeks, I'll be making some changes to...well...everything.
In the meantime there's a new piece in the Journal about not giving into your fears of getting the ball rolling. Hey, get some rest this Presidents Day, stay hydrated, and have a great rest of the week.
Stay human,
CEDRIC VICTOR
